RDiscovery, KK Selected by the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare under the Drug Discovery Ecosystem Development Program

Jul 1, 2025 — RDiscovery, KK (Representative Director: Taro Inaba, Headquarters: Tokyo, Japan) has been selected by the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare (MHLW) under the Drug Discovery Ecosystem Development Program to act as a private support organization.

Guided by our mission – “to foster exceptional innovations originating in Japan and address unmet medical needs worldwide” – RDiscovery supports the translation of promising discoveries into practical medicines. Our activities span from the identification, evaluation, and validation of drug discovery seeds to early-stage development and startup formation, working alongside academic institutions, pharmaceutical companies, and venture partners.

Through this initiative, we will leverage our expertise and network to accelerate the practical implementation of innovative drug discovery technologies.

About the Drug Discovery Ecosystem Development Program

This program, led by Japan’s Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare (MHLW), aims to establish Japan as a “home of drug discovery” contributing to global health by supporting the translation of academic seeds into startups and practical applications.
